It was another great night of racing at the Brockville Ontario Speedway this past Saturday night. Some new faces were in victory lane but familiar faces also made another trip. Cherry Valley’s Adam Turner won his second Crate Sprint Car feature of the year and said he was cruising in the 20 lap race, but soon realized he had to pick up the pace.
He said great tire wear has been a major part of his success this year.

It was the Mid Summer Splash as long time sponsors Splash Well Drilling was on hand this past Saturday night, with plenty of action taking place in all six divisions.
Tyler Stewart has been strong in 2025 and looked great at the start of the 25 lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature, leading early over Madie Wallace and Matt Barbour. A quick yellow for a spun Kent Miller, bunched the field up which brought in a serious contender for the track championship. When the green flew Stewart continued his great run but Bobby Herrington was on the move charging to second on lap 5. On lap 7 after a restart, the 4 time and defending track champion was able to get by for the lead and put in another dominant performance on this night. Behind the leader, Matt Barbour was able to get by Tyler Stewart for second bringing Dominick Merkley to third. As the laps clicked off Herrington remained in control and showed no signs of slowing up as Barbour, Merkley, Xavier Andrews and Jessica Power continued their battle. In the end Bobby Herrington scored his 5th win of the season in dominant fashion and 39th of his Brockville Sportsman career. Matt Barbour scored another runner up finish, ahead of Xavier Andrews Domonick Merkley and last week’s winner Jessica Power
Plenty was on the line in the 25 lap Mini Stock Mini Series finale as Hayden Brown led the way over series and track point leader Clayton Celovsky and Marc Dagenais. On lap 5 problems occurred for the series points leader as Celovsky and Marc Dagenais tangled in turn 4 bringing out the yellow. Both were able to continue. When the green flew Hayden Brown continued to lead but 2022 track champion Jamie Larocque was right there to challenge as the two drivers put on a great side by side battle for the lead. With 10 laps to go Larocque was able to take control of the race as Mike Saunders was on the move taking second in the late stages. Over the final laps both Saunders and Brown made bids for the lead but Jamie Larocque was too strong becoming the first two-time winner in the Mini Stock ranks at Brockville this year. Mike Saunders, Hayden Brown and Max Steele finished second through fourth, while Clayton Celovsky battled back for a 5th place finish, good enough to secure the Mini Stock Mini Series title and keep his track points lead in the process.
A wild start to the DIRTcar 358 Modified 30 lap feature saw Johnathon Ferguson and Kyle Dingwall tangle in turn 4 collecting multiple cars in the process including points leader Tristan Draper, who was able to continue in the feature. After all the chaos settled down a great battle took place between race leader Gabirel Cyr, Jarrett Herbison and Cedric Gauvreau. Cyr and Herbison were able to pull away and make it a two car race. Behind them Tristan Draper and Kyle Dingwall tangled in turn 3 bringing out the yellow. When the green flew Herbison put the pressure on Cyr for the lead as Gauvreau and Gavin MacFarlane traded 3rd and 4th for several laps. Herbsion took the lead away and began to pull away, but on lap 23 the yellow flew setting up another great battle for the race win. On the final restart Herbison and Cyr battled hard for the lead with Herbison taking control as Cedric Gavreau charged to second. In the end Jarrett Herbison got redemption after a heartbreak in 2022, scoring his second career 358 Modified win and first ever at Brockville. Cedric Gauvreau crossed second ahead of Gabriel Cyr, Shane Stearns and Gavin MacFarlane, who scored a career best 5th.
Adam Turner was the class of the field in the 20 lap Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprint Car feature leading early with veteran Rick Wilson and rookie Liam Ladouceur right there to try and challenge. Turner had a fast car and was able to pull away to a comfortable lead, but Andrew Hennessy was closing fast after taking second from Wilson. With 8 laps to go Hennessy closed in on the leader and made several bids for the top spot, but Turner remained in control. The leaders entered traffic, which Turner was able to get by with no problems, as Hennessy did his best to keep pace. Over the final laps, Adam Turner was able to get away from Hennessy and pull away for his second win of the year. Hennessy crossed the line second ahead of two-time and defending track champion Lee Ladouceur, Rick Wilson and Liam Ladouceur.
Tyler Bushey a two-time Street Stock and 2023 Pro Stock track champion, led early in the 15 lap Pro Stock feature, with Eric Jean Louis and Stephane Lebrun right there with him. Bushey pulled away and was the dominant force throughout the event. Two minor spins slowed the race for Eric Jean Louis and Natacha Lebrun, but both were able to continue. On the final restart Tyler Bushey was able to get away from Stephane Lebrun to score his 30th career win and first since he won the Pro Stock season finale at Brockville on September 2nd of 2023. Stephane Lebrun, Alex Lebrun, Eric Jean Louis and Natacha Lebrun completed the field.
The final feature on the night saw 12 laps for the Novice Sportsman and points leader Kyle Kudrinko led the way over Cole Hannah and Jacory Arquette. Kudrinko looked to have the best car but on lap 6 Cole Hannah made hard contact with and infield tire ending his night early. When the green flew it was Kudrinko in front but Arquette was on the charge and looking for back to back wins. However Kyle Kudrinko was not letting that happen as he drove a perfect line in the final laps to secure his third win of the year. Jacory Arquette crossed in second ahead of Garin Thompson. Tessa Riemersma held on for 4th with Damien King 5th.
Next week it’s a big night for the DIRTcar 358 Modified and Sportsman divisions as it’s the season finale in the Ogilvie’s Triple Crown Series. Corey Wheeler and Gavin Eisele lead tight point battles, which should make for some exciting action Saturday night. Also the track title will be on the line for the Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprint Cars plus Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman. Racing begins at 7pm.
