Brockville police say two young men are facing impaired driving charges after an early morning collision with a utility pole.
On September 6, 2025, at about 5:30 a.m., officers responded to Court House Avenue after a 911 call reported a single-vehicle crash.
Police found a car had left the road and struck a pole.
A second vehicle, not involved in the collision, stayed at the scene.
Investigators say the 19-year-old driver who hit the pole provided a roadside breath sample that registered a fail.
His 20-year-old friend, driving the second vehicle, refused to give a sample.
The 19-year-old has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
His licence was suspended and his vehicle impounded.
The 20-year-old was charged with refusal to comply with demand and failing to comply with probation.
Both men were released with future court dates.
