As part of Crime Prevention Week, the Gananoque Police Service is emphasizing the vital role of community partnerships in keeping the town safe. On Day 4 of the annual awareness event, officers highlighted collaboration between local law enforcement, first responders, fire and emergency medical teams, schools, youth programs, community organizations, residents, and local businesses.
“Crime prevention isn’t solely the responsibility of police,” said Gananoque Police representatives. “It’s a shared effort, and every individual and organization that contributes helps build a safer community.”
The police service encourages residents to stay engaged by sharing information, supporting local initiatives, and reporting suspicious activity. By fostering strong connections and working together, the town can prevent crime and enhance public safety.
Gananoque Police thank all partners for their ongoing dedication and emphasize that active collaboration between law enforcement and the community benefits everyone, creating a safer, stronger Gananoque for residents and visitors alike.
