Parks Canada experienced a notable increase in visitor numbers over the summer, with the Canada Strong Pass playing a key role. Between June 20 and September 2, approximately 14.5 million people visited national parks and historic sites managed by the agency, representing a 13 per cent increase compared to previous summers.
National historic sites saw the largest growth, welcoming roughly 20 per cent more visitors, while national parks recorded a nine per cent rise. The Canada Strong Pass offered free admission to all Parks Canada locations, encouraging Canadians to explore and experience the country’s natural and cultural treasures.
