The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville have begun work to replace the stone masonry retaining wall at County Road 3 (Prince Street) and County Road 34 (King Street W.) in Lansdowne. The new engineered wall will improve slope stability and enhance public safety.
Vehicular traffic is not affected, but the Prince Street sidewalk remains closed until project completion in Spring 2026. Sidewalk work and final area restoration will resume next spring.
Residents are advised to exercise caution while passing through the construction zone. The project is weather-dependent, and the county thanks the community for their patience during this important infrastructure upgrade.
