Residents are invited to help shape the future of Gananoque at a Public Strategic Plan Feedback Meeting on February 10 at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Lou Jeffries Arena, 600 King Street East.
The session focuses on the Town’s 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, giving residents an opportunity to share input on priorities for the next four years. Municipal officials note that local government is responsible for services that most directly impact daily life, including roads, water and wastewater systems, parks and recreation facilities, libraries, festivals, economic development, by-law enforcement, fire services, and municipal budgeting.
Town staff will also outline areas that fall outside municipal authority, such as hospitals, schools, provincial highways, courts, immigration policy, and national or provincial regulations.
Officials stress that public feedback plays a vital role in setting realistic goals and ensuring municipal resources are focused where they matter most. Residents are encouraged to attend and have their voices heard as Gananoque plans for the years ahead.
