Local MP Michael Barrett is focusing on bigger priorities after the recent Conservative Leadership Review, which saw Pierre Poilievre backed by more than three-quarters of the party.
Barrett said affordability is one of the biggest problems facing Canadians today. He stressed that the root causes must be addressed first.
He added that finding solutions will require effort from all levels of government but said it is not impossible.
Barrett said the party is ready to work on policies that could make daily life easier for Canadians struggling with costs.
He emphasized collaboration and long-term planning as key to tackling affordability.
