The Gananoque Curling Club wrapped up another successful Winter Classic Bonspiel with a full weekend of competitive play, camaraderie, and community spirit. The annual two-day event featured strong competition on the ice and plenty of off-ice fun, continuing a tradition that local curlers look forward to each winter.
Organizers extended a heartfelt thank-you to local businesses and community partners whose support helps make the bonspiel possible year after year. Their contributions played a key role in the success of the event.
Team Leadbeater captured first place, edging out the competition by a razor-thin margin of just a quarter of a point. Team Garrah finished second, followed by Team Goring in third. The Sportsman Award was presented to Team Maxwell, recognizing outstanding sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
The club says the event once again highlighted the strength of the local curling community.
