The Upper Canada District School Board celebrated the achievements of 22 outstanding staff members during its annual Board Awards Evening on June 9 at North Grenville District High School.
Employees were recognized with four major honours: the Service Excellence Award, OPC Award of Character, Creativity & Innovation Award, and the Director’s Red Apple Award.
Winners included teachers, early childhood educators, office administrators, and support staff who have made a lasting impact on students and their communities. From launching inclusive physical education programs to leading environmental projects and developing student-run businesses, honourees showcased creativity, care, and dedication.
Among the standouts were Tim East, whose students created a township newsletter, and Megan Connolly, who led a Black Canadian History project that turned into a public exhibit.
The awards evening highlighted UCDSB’s commitment to recognizing staff who go above and beyond in helping students succeed.
