Residents in Gananoque’s 100-block of Oak Street are advised that an emergency watermain repair carried out Monday has now been completed and the road has fully reopened.
The Town of Gananoque undertook the repair after a watermain break required urgent attention to maintain safe and reliable drinking water service in the area. Work took place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on February 23.
During the repair, some residents experienced temporary water loss or reduced pressure. Officials also warned that discolouration could occur once service was restored, advising homeowners to run cold water taps until the water cleared. Oak Street was temporarily closed in the immediate area of the break to allow crews to complete the work safely.
Municipal officials thanked residents for their patience and cooperation while repairs were underway, noting that service has now been restored and normal traffic flow has resumed.
