The Carveth Care Centre long-term care facility in Gananoque has officially been cleared of an Enteric outbreak, according to Southeast Public Health. Effective immediately, visitations, outings, and general visitors have resumed at the facility under Public Health guidance.
While masks are encouraged, they are no longer required. Residents and visitors are reminded not to visit if feeling unwell. Hand hygiene remains essential; all visitors must wash or sanitize hands on entry, before and after visiting, and upon exit to reduce the risk of transmission.
Public Health notes that the Enteric outbreak at the Carveth Retirement Lodge remains in effect, and precautions are still required there.
Officials thank residents, staff, and families for their patience during the outbreak and encourage continued vigilance to maintain a safe environment for all.
