This Saturday, March 14, Leeds 1000 Islands firefighters will be out in the community supporting local food banks. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., firefighters will be at Lansdowne Freshmart collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations as part of the Chief Fire Officers Association of Leeds and Grenville initiative.
Residents are encouraged to pick up an extra item or make a small donation when visiting the store. Contributions will help ensure that families in the area have access to food when they need it most.
The fire service thanks the community in advance for their generosity and support, highlighting the importance of coming together to assist local families in need. This annual effort reflects the ongoing commitment of firefighters to the Leeds 1000 Islands community.
