Public Health has declared the enteric outbreak over at Carveth Retirement Lodge, allowing normal activities to resume at the facility.
Effective immediately, visitations, outings and general visitors are once again permitted under the guidance of Public Health. While masks are encouraged for visitors, they are not required at this time.
Officials are reminding anyone who is feeling unwell to postpone their visit in order to help protect residents and staff. Hand hygiene also remains an important precaution, with visitors asked to wash or sanitize their hands upon entry, before and after visiting, and again when leaving the building.
The long-term care home has also confirmed that its health status is now clear, marking the end of the outbreak restrictions.
