Station 1 firefighters with Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service, spent this past Saturday collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations for local food banks.
The Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service were on hand at the Lansdowne Freshmart to help support community members in need.
Organizers thanked everyone who stopped by to donate, noting the generosity of residents and shoppers.
The effort highlights the strong community spirit in Lansdowne and the ongoing commitment of local firefighters and businesses to helping ensure that families in the area have access to essential food resources.
