The 28th Annual Kids For Kids hockey tournament was a successful outing for many teams in the Gananoque Minor Hockey Association.
The U18HLB team made it to the quarter finals losing 2-1 to Alexandria. The U13 HLC team made the semi-finals but lost to Deep River 2-1. The U11 REP team also made the semi-finals but lost a close game to Perth/Lanark 3-2.
Our U13 REP team had a great showing winning their semi-final game against Frontenac 3-0. In the finals however, Renfrew got the best of the Islanders, with a 6-2 victory.
This year marked the first time the Lou Jeffries Arena had hosted games for the weekend long tournament in a number of years. Local officials were very happy with the turn out and support in an event that saw over 3300 player participate at rinks from Gananoque to Napanee.
