The Gananoque Fire Service is calling on the community to help support local families in need during an upcoming food drive. Firefighters will be stationed at No Frills and Metro on Sunday, March 29, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, collecting donations for the Gananoque Food Bank.
Residents are encouraged to pick up an extra item while shopping and donate it on their way out. Organizers say even small contributions can make a big difference in helping keep shelves stocked for those who rely on the food bank.
Service members from Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service are also going to be at the food drive to lend a hand on Sunday.
The initiative highlights the ongoing need for community support and the important role local organizations play in assisting residents facing food insecurity.
