The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is seeking applicants to fill one vacant position on its Committee of Adjustment. The committee is responsible for reviewing and deciding on applications for minor variances, as well as requests to enlarge or extend existing legal non-conforming buildings or structures.
Applicants must not be employees of the Township, must be at least 18 years old, and either reside or own a business within the Township. Eligible candidates include Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have lived in the Township for at least one year.
Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications by Friday, April 17, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for residents and business owners to play a direct role in local planning decisions and contribute to the growth and development of the Township.
