Next weekend, St. Lawrence College’s Music Theatre Program will bring the rock musical “Spring Awakening” to the Thousand Islands Playhouse.
The show explores teenagers facing sexuality, societal pressure, and self-discovery in 19th-century Germany, blending raw emotion with a folk-rock score.
Music Director Chris Coyea said the play does have some “heavy duty content.”
Coyea also noted when the shows will take place.
St. Lawrence’s music theatre students aim to make a memorable impact on the local stage.
