Families and educators across Eastern Ontario’s Upper Canada region are being invited to join a virtual townhall on April 28 at 7 p.m. focused on the future of public education.
The event, titled “Public Education at a Crossroads: What Families Need to Know,” will bring together parents, guardians and community members for an open discussion on current challenges facing schools.
Organizers say the session will provide clear information, allow participants to ask questions, and help identify next steps to support students and public education.
Guest speakers include Ontario NDP education critic Chandra Pasma, along with representatives from advocacy groups and education organizations.
Event organizer Tanya Crosbie said the goal is to create space for meaningful conversation and connection.
The online event is open to all community members.
