A well-known Eastern Ontario musician and educator is being recognized for decades of impact in the arts community.
Paul Harding has been selected as a 2026 inductee in the Teacher category of the Brockville and Area Music and Performing Arts Hall of Fame, an honour presented annually by the Brockville Arts Centre.
Harding is widely respected as a musician, accompanist and music director, with deep roots in the Gananoque and Brockville regions. He holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University.
For more than 30 years, he served as organist and choirmaster at Grace United Church and taught music in local schools, while continuing to mentor students through private instruction.
Harding also co-founded the Gananoque Choral Society and has spent more than four decades involved in musical theatre.
He remains an active performer and was previously awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002.
