Leeds Fire Services has received a $29,402 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada to support the purchase of specialized equipment.
A cheque presentation was held at the Firehouse Subs location in Kingston, where firefighters, council members, and community representatives gathered to mark the occasion.
The funding will be used to purchase two sets of cold weather personal protective equipment, helping firefighters operate safely in extreme conditions.
Fire Chief Mike Prior thanked local owner Ujjaval Patel, staff, and the foundation for their continued support.
Officials say the investment will enhance safety and preparedness for crews responding to emergencies throughout Leeds and the Thousand Islands.
