The Gananoque Minor Hockey Association highlighted award winners and welcomed a newly appointed executive during its annual general meeting Monday night at Maverick’s Restaurant on King Street.
The GMHA recognized several volunteers for their contributions during the 2025–2026 season, including Bill Cross as Coach of the Year for U11 and below, and Marty McConnell as Coach of the Year for U13 and above.
Lisa Fanson was named Manager of the Year, while Tye Carswell received Volunteer of the Year honours.
The association also announced its executive for the upcoming season, with Danielle Jean Desharnais named president.
Several members are returning to their roles, including Peter Burgess as first vice-president and Michelle Brown as treasurer, as preparation begins for the next hockey year. Bob Beattie was also announced as the new U15 REP Coach this past weekend.
