This past Tuesday evening, recruits with the Gananoque Fire Service completed hands-on auto extrication training designed to prepare them for emergency response situations involving motor vehicle collisions.
The training focused on scene safety, proper operation of rescue tools, patient care, and coordinated teamwork under realistic conditions. Officials say these skills are essential for safely and effectively removing patients from vehicles and improving outcomes during time-sensitive emergencies.
Fire service leaders say ongoing training is a key part of ensuring new members are fully prepared to serve the community and respond to a wide range of incidents.
The department says it is proud of the commitment and effort shown by recruits as they continue developing the skills needed to support public safety and emergency response in the Gananoque area.
