The Gananoque Police Service is now accepting applications for its 2026 Youth in Policing Program.
The paid summer position offers local youth the opportunity to work as town ambassadors alongside police officers while gaining valuable job skills and community experience.
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 18, eligible to work in Canada, and intend to return to school in September.
Participants will work 40 hours per week for eight weeks at a rate of $17.20 per hour.
Applicants must live in the Town of Gananoque or the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands and successfully complete a recruitment and background process.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. on May 22, 2026. Resumes can be submitted by email.
