Something new is in the works for Radio Control Car Racing enthusiasts. The new Gan RC Raceway located on Highway 32 will be opening for their debut racing season on Thursday May 7th for a 19 week oval racing series. Promoter Stacy Gilmore talked about why he started this.
Gilmore said he’s had some great input from local racers for the track.
Gilmore there is plenty to do before opening day and for future improvements at his facility.
Gilmore added that electronic timing and scoring will be added along with lights for night time racing and a power source for competitors. Classes for the season include Sprint Cars, Modifieds Mud Boss and 4 Wheel Drive Open with awards to be handed out at seasons end. Memberships are being taken for the debut season and more details can also be found on their Facebook page.
