Brockville Police investigated an incident Sunday afternoon after a police operation prompted the precautionary evacuation of the Walmart store.
Multiple sources told myFM a Code Blue was called, which in Walmart protocol can indicate a bomb threat.
The store reopened before 7 p.m., but was reportedly closed again shortly after 8 p.m.
Multiple people claiming to be employees said it did not reopen, with staff seen gathered outside.
Some neighbouring businesses were also reportedly evacuated after the initial threat, though workers later returned.
Reports of threats at other Walmart stores in Canada and the U.S. surfaced yesterday and in recent days, though it is not known if they are connected.
