Residents considering a run for municipal council will have two upcoming opportunities to learn more, with information sessions scheduled in Lansdowne and Gananoque.
The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands will host a session Thursday, May 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1 Jesse Street in Lansdowne.
A second session will take place in Gananoque on Wednesday, June 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Town Hall council chambers on the second floor at 30 King Street East.
Both sessions are open to anyone interested in running for council and will cover responsibilities, eligibility requirements, and the election process.
Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions and determine if municipal office is the right fit for them.
