Gananoque Secondary School teacher-coach Jane Clark has been awarded the prestigious EOSSAA Retirement Award, recognizing her long-standing contributions to school athletics and student development.
Clark received the honour at the EOSSAA Legislative Council meeting on Friday, where she was presented with the award by GSS teacher Chris Wyatt.
The award is given annually to teacher-coaches who best exemplify the values of fair play, sportsmanship, enjoyment of sport, personal growth, and education through school athletics.
Clark has served as a coach at Gananoque Secondary School for many years, hosting numerous EOSSAA championships and also holding the role of athletic director for more than a decade. Her leadership and dedication have been widely recognized within the school and broader athletic community.
Officials say Clarkâs career reflects a strong commitment to student-athletes, both on and off the field, and highlights her lasting impact on school sport in the region.
