The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is reminding business and property owners that the deadline for its Community Improvement Plan (CIP) financial incentive programs is quickly approaching.
Officials say applications for the spring intake are being accepted until Friday, May 29, 2026. The program offers a range of grants aimed at supporting improvements to eligible properties across the Township.
Funding is available for projects such as façade upgrades to commercial or mixed-use buildings, accessibility improvements, and the creation or upgrading of secondary dwelling units. The program also supports redevelopment, expansion, and conversion projects, as well as initiatives tied to agriculture, agri-tourism, ecotourism, and recreational uses in rural areas.
The Township says the goal of the CIP is to encourage investment and enhance the overall appearance and functionality of the community.
Applicants are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and contact planning staff to discuss potential projects before applying.
