The Town of Gananoque is inviting residents to take part in its upcoming Residential Cleanup “Dump Day” on Saturday, May 9.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Public Works Yard, located at 665 Charles Street, with access via James A. Brennan Road. The program allows residents to dispose of large household items not typically collected at the curb.
Proof of residency is required, and all fees must be paid in cash prior to entry. Costs vary depending on the size of the load, while some materials such as scrap metal, electronics, and yard waste will be accepted free of charge.
Officials note that certain items, including household garbage, construction materials, tires, and hazardous waste, will not be accepted.
Town staff will be on site to assist residents, and organizers remind the public not to leave items at the curb ahead of the event.
