Comic book fans, collectors, and cosplay enthusiasts will gather in Gananoque later this month for the community’s one and only ComiCon event.
The convention takes place May 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lou Jeffries Gananoque and Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Recreation Centre. Special guest Dan Day, a legendary comic artist, will be attending the event alongside a wide variety of vendors, artists, and authors.
Attendees can browse comic books, vintage toys, video games, records, anime items, collectibles, and other pop culture merchandise. Organizers say cosplay is encouraged, and some vendors may also be interested in purchasing unwanted comics, toys, and gaming items from attendees.
Admission is $5 online through Eventbrite or $10 at the door, while children 12 and under get in free with paid admission. Food donations for the local food bank are also being accepted during the event.
