The Brockville Police Service says investigators believe they have identified the three victims in last week’s triple homicide, but official confirmation is still pending.
Police said Wednesday they are responding to many public questions about the case and warned that information shared on social media does not meet the standard required for criminal proceedings.
Investigators believe the victims are 49-year-old Louwanda “Wanda” Elliott, 17-year-old Mackayla Elliott and 15-year-old Nikita Elliott.
The service said the investigation remains in its early stages and officers are continuing to gather and verify evidence before formally confirming the identities of the victims.
Police also asked residents for patience as the investigation continues.
The Brockville Police Service said it is committed to handling the case with care, accuracy and attention to detail while investigators work to complete a thorough investigation into the deaths.
Officials have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the killings or suspects connected to the case
