The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Council has appointed a new Ward 1 councillor and approved several committee and board appointments following a recent meeting.
Todd Robertson has been appointed to the Ward 1 council seat after council reviewed presentations from seven applicants. He will serve for the remainder of the current term, which runs until November 2026.
Council also approved additional appointments to local boards and committees. Jeff Lackie was appointed as an at-large community member to the Leeds County OPP Police Board for the remainder of the term. Andrew Logan was appointed to the Committee of Adjustment to fill a vacancy for the 2022–2026 term.
