Gananoque Council will meet Wednesday evening with several key issues on the agenda, including parking requests, legal spending, and municipal funding updates.
Among the delegations, representatives from the Gananoque Seniors Association and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 92 will ask council to allow free parking in the Pine Street parking lot one day each week on Wednesdays.
Council will also review reports on legal costs from 2023 to 2026, casino funding, municipal procurement policies, and a proposed information technology service agreement.
Other agenda items include possible amendments to taxi meter rates, renovations at 400 Stone Street North, and the appointment of a new building inspector.
Deputy Mayor Leakey is also requesting a staff report regarding a Municipal Accommodation Tax.
Council is expected to move into closed session later in the meeting to discuss an Integrity Commissioner report, along with legal and negotiation matters.
