The Gananoque Girls Hockey Association is now accepting applications for House League head coaches for the upcoming season.
Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2026, with officials reminding interested candidates that several certifications and training requirements are mandatory under Ontario Women’s Hockey Association guidelines.
Requirements include a current vulnerable sector police check completed within the last year, completion of the Respect in Sport – Activity Leader program, and Gender Identity and Expression training for new coaches.
The association says certification courses will be available during the summer and early fall for successful applicants.
Officials note that only candidates in good standing with the association will be contacted for interviews.
Additional details on certification courses and coaching requirements are available through the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association website.
