A groundbreaking construction milestone will be celebrated in Gananoque on May 29 with the grand opening of what organizers describe as Canada’s first and largest neighbourhood built using on-site robotics.
The event, located at 425 Fourth Street from noon to 5 p.m., will feature guided site tours, a community barbecue, live music, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community and industry representatives.
Officials with Horizon Legacy say the project demonstrates how robotics and emerging building technologies are being used to transform residential construction and could play a role in addressing future housing needs.
Visitors will be able to learn more about how the robotic construction process works, as well as why Gananoque was selected as the location for the innovative development.
The event is open to all ages and is being promoted as a family-friendly opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the future of housing. More details are available through the link provided.
