The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is inviting residents to take part in a special Seniors Month celebration on June 11 in Lansdowne Community Hall.
The event will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will bring together community members to recognize the contributions, achievements, and lasting impact of local seniors.
Attendees can expect an afternoon of music, light refreshments, and snacks, along with welcome remarks from local dignitaries. A highlight of the event will be the announcement of the TLTI Ontario Senior of the Year Award.
Organizers say the celebration is open to everyone and is designed to encourage connection across generations while honouring seniors in the community.
Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in recognizing the important role seniors continue to play in the township.
