Gananoque Council has passed a by-law amending the General Fees and Rates By-law, updating taxi meter rates under Schedule G.
The changes include increasing the “One way within Town limits (includes wheelchair accessible van)” fare from $10.00 to $13.00. The “Delivery” rate has been revised from $15.00 to $16.00. In addition, the “Waiting time” category has been renamed “Waiting/Loading time” to better reflect service conditions.
The updates were approved during a recent council meeting as part of routine fee and rate adjustments for municipal services. Officials say the changes aim to better align rates with current operating costs while maintaining consistency in service delivery across the taxi sector within the Town.
