A 35-year-old Gananoque resident has been arrested and charged following an investigation by the Gananoque Police Service into a domestic-related incident reported on May 24, 2026.
Police say the incident originally occurred on May 18, 2026, when the victim reported that their ex-partner damaged their vehicle during an exchange involving children. Following the interaction, the victim and children were allegedly followed onto a major highway, where the suspect continued driving in an unsafe manner for several kilometres before the victim was able to safely evade them.
As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the accused and charged them with mischief – domestic, failure to comply with an undertaking, and criminal harassment involving threatening conduct.
The accused was held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing.
