A special meeting of Gananoque Council will be held on June 10 to review progress and future milestones tied to the Town’s Strategic Plan.
The session, scheduled for 4 p.m. at Town Hall, will focus on the proposed 2026-2031 Strategic Plan milestones. The discussion will be facilitated by Suzanne Gibson of Suzanne Gibson & Associates.
The strategic plan is built around three key priorities: providing quality core services and infrastructure, supporting a strong and sustainable local economy, and cultivating a high-performing municipal team.
Among the initiatives outlined are annual reviews of municipal services, continued implementation of the Town’s asset management plan, infrastructure projects such as stormwater improvements and wastewater upgrades, support for housing development, tourism growth, and business attraction efforts. The plan also includes goals related to workforce development, succession planning, modernization of municipal systems, and improving public access to information.
Council will review milestone targets extending through 2031, providing a roadmap for future municipal decision-making and investment priorities. The special meeting is open to the public and will be available both in person and through virtual participation options.
