Tourism organizers in Gananoque are being reminded that the deadline is approaching for the second intake of the Tourism Advisory Panel (TAP) funding program.
The application-based, cost-sharing program supports projects and events that attract visitors to the community, encourage the development of new tourism products and experiences, and promote tourism-related investment. Approved applicants may receive funding for up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs, as determined by the advisory panel.
While priority is given to initiatives capable of attracting more than 5,000 attendees, smaller events are also eligible and will be evaluated using the same criteria.
This intake is intended for events and projects taking place between September 15 and January 14, helping support Gananoque’s fall and winter tourism season.
Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on June 8. Organizers are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
