Firefighters in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands responded to 11 emergency incidents over the past week, according to the latest report from fire services.
Crews were called to a variety of incidents, including two cases involving trees down on hydro lines that caught fire, two motor vehicle collisions, and a downed hydro line. Firefighters also responded to a brush fire, a fire at the Lansdowne Waste Site, a burn complaint, and a report of smoke.
Additional calls included a medical assistance response and a public service call.
The update highlights the wide range of emergencies handled by local firefighters as they continue to serve communities across the township.
