Residents in Seeley’s Bay are being invited to celebrate Canada Day with a full day of family-friendly events at Centennial Park.
Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with an ecumenical church service, followed by opening ceremonies at noon. Parade participants will line up shortly after, with children gathering at the park and floats assembling on Drynan Way. The parade is set to get underway at 1 p.m.
Afternoon activities include a reptile show at the Legion, along with kids’ crafts, face painting, karaoke, and old-fashioned games.
Cupcakes will be served at 5 p.m., while axe throwing and a chicken barbecue at the Legion will also be available.
Live entertainment from Backlash starts at 6 p.m., leading up to a fireworks display at dusk.
Organizers encourage residents to bring a picnic and enjoy the day, noting the celebration is a family-friendly, non-alcoholic event.
