Residents are invited to celebrate the official grand re-opening of Jerry Park in Lansdowne on Friday, June 26.
The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. to mark the completion of park improvements and the opening of a new accessible and inclusive playground. Council members, staff, project partners, and special guests are expected to attend.
The upgraded playground features new equipment designed to encourage play, exploration, and social interaction while improving accessibility for children of varying abilities. Township officials say the project reflects a commitment to creating welcoming public spaces for everyone.
Following the ceremony, families will have the opportunity to enjoy the new playground and participate in games and activities led by recreation staff.
A rain date has been scheduled for June 29.
