The Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network is once again offering its popular Summer Nature Camp program, giving children and youth the chance to explore the outdoors at two locations in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.
Camps will run from June 29 through August 21 at Kendrick’s Park in Lyndhurst and Landons Bay near Gananoque. The program is open to children ages 5 to 11, with a Leaders in Training stream for ages 12 and 13 and volunteer opportunities for youth 14 and older.
Organizers say campers will spend their days exploring forests, wetlands, waterways, and wildlife habitats while participating in games, crafts, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor activities. Each week will feature a different theme designed to encourage curiosity and hands-on learning.
The cost is $250 per week, with reduced rates for four-day weeks. Registration is now open, and organizers encourage families to register early for the summer adventure.
