The Howe Island County Ferry is out of service today from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while the Ministry of Transportation completes dock repairs and maintenance work.
Officials say the interruption is necessary to correct a dock issue that has been identified. At the same time, crews will also carry out a minor repair on the ferry vessel to ensure continued safe operations.
The temporary closure is expected to last three hours, with service resuming once work is complete.
Motorists and residents are advised to plan accordingly and expect delays to normal ferry operations during the maintenance period.
