United Way Leeds & Grenville says it met its 2025 fundraising goal and is moving ahead with an ambitious plan to expand its community impact across the region.
In its annual report, the organization said it reached its $900,000 campaign target through donor support, workplace campaigns, events and community partnerships. The funding will support investments in poverty reduction, opportunity programs and other services aimed at helping local individuals and families.
The charity highlighted several initiatives from the past year, including a sold-out Campaign Breakfast, the launch of the River 50/50 lottery, Day of Caring activities and the creation of its GenNext program for young adults.
United Way Leeds & Grenville also launched an Emergency Response Grant to help local organizations access resources quickly during crises.
The organization recently completed its 2025-2028 strategic plan, which focuses on fundraising growth, volunteer and board development, organizational stability, community leadership and investing in priority needs.
The plan includes a goal of raising $2 million annually by 2028 while strengthening long-term sustainability and community partnerships across Leeds and Grenville.
