The Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service has announced the postponement of its Dock-to-Door Fire Pump Clinic due to unforeseen circumstances.
The event had been scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at the Ivy Lea Government Dock in partnership with the Thousand Islands Association. A new date has not yet been announced.
The popular clinic is designed to help waterfront property owners learn how to properly operate and maintain portable fire pumps, improve fire safety knowledge, and better protect their properties in the event of an emergency.
Organizers say the program has become a valued resource for island and waterfront residents looking to improve their emergency preparedness.
Residents who were planning to attend are encouraged to watch for a future announcement regarding the rescheduled date. Additional information is available through the Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service.
