The St. Lawrence Parks Commission is encouraging residents and visitors to explore a wide range of summer experiences along the St. Lawrence River as school lets out and peak tourism season begins.
This year’s offerings include expanded programming, upgraded amenities, and more accessible pricing options across historic sites, campgrounds, and waterfront destinations. Through the Canada Strong Pass initiative, children and youth aged 17 and under can access free admission to Fort Henry and Upper Canada Village, while young adults aged 18 to 24 receive discounted entry until early September. The Library Pass Program has also grown, now involving more than 55 libraries providing free day passes.
Fort Henry and Upper Canada Village are both offering enhanced visitor experiences, including additional programming, hands-on activities, and special seasonal events. Camping and outdoor recreation have also been expanded across Parks of the St. Lawrence sites.
Locally, Brown’s Bay continues to be a popular destination for swimming, picnicking, and waterfront recreation, offering visitors a scenic and family-friendly escape along the Thousand Islands Parkway.
