The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is inviting residents to celebrate a significant community milestone with a special 25th Anniversary of Amalgamation flag-raising ceremony.
The event will take place on Monday, July 6, at 5:30 p.m. outside the Municipal Office at 1233 Prince Street in Lansdowne.
The commemorative flag features a community-inspired design created by local resident JP Jackson and was developed to recognize the Township’s 25 years since amalgamation. Township officials say the ceremony will provide an opportunity to celebrate the community’s history, achievements, and continued growth.
Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in the unveiling and raising of the anniversary flag while recognizing the creativity behind the design.
The Township says the event is intended to bring the community together and celebrate a quarter-century of shared identity and progress.
